The Starkey Starlink Mini Remote Microphone - users with older mobile devices can enjoy one-on-one conversations in noisy environments with our small, easy-to-use Mini Remote Microphone by clipping it to the clothing of the person being spoken to. It can also be used as a TV streamer by placing it near the sound source. For use with Starkey E Genesis AI, Essentia (wireless), Evolv AI, Liveo Edge AI, Livio AI and Livio hearing aids. Also compatible with Audibel Intrigue AI and Arc AI hearing aids.

A patient’s Livio hearing aids are not pairing to the Mini Remote Microphone – why?
If a Livio hearing aid was purchased between August 2018 through February 2019, hearing aids will need a firmware update to be compatible with the Mini Remote Microphone.

As someone with profound single-sided deafness (SSD), I found the Starkey StarLink Mini Remote Microphone to be a very effective addition to my Essentia 1600 CROS system, particularly for one-to-one conversations. While it was not quite the same transformative experience as the StarLink Table Microphone in group settings, it still delivered a very noticeable improvement in speech clarity and reduced listening fatigue considerably. The biggest advantage for me was in more challenging acoustic situations where a single person was speaking — for example in pubs, restaurants, meetings, or walking conversations. Positioning the microphone closer to the speaker dramatically improved speech intelligibility compared with relying solely on the standard hearing aid microphones. As with the table microphone, the real benefit was not simply increased volume, but improved separation of speech from surrounding noise. Conversations became less mentally exhausting and required far less effort to follow. For SSD and CROS users who regularly struggle with one-to-one communication in noisy environments, this is an extremely useful piece of assistive technology and well worth considering as part of a broader hearing strategy.
